Miller’s Bakery
Stop for morning fuel at Miller’s Bakery, just off of OH-557. They bake all of their delectable treats from scratch daily. Miller’s specializes in pastries, cookies, cheese tarts, homemade candies, fry pies, fruit pies, crafts, and lots more. From the rasping gaslights to the warm bread aromas, this stop will start your mouth watering for a day of exploring.

Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center
The Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center provides a historical background on the formation of Anabaptist groups and chronicles the migration of Amish and Mennonites into Holmes County. The Center features a 265’ mural that interprets this heritage. They offer guided tours and feature a restored bank barn with Conestoga wagon and a one-room schoolhouse. Heini’s Cheese Chalet
Heini’s Cheese has been crafting artisan-style cheeses since 1935. They still use local dairy, and you can watch the cheesemaking process if you arrive in the morning. The shop offers over 50 sampling varieties, so you can try and buy your favorites. They also feature locally made jams and jellies, as well as some bulk food items. It’s a favorite stop for visitors and locals.

The hardest part of vacation can be getting out of your door! Amish Country doesn’t have official opening and closing times. If you enjoy having space at your attraction spots, arrive early and begin the day at 8-9 a.m. If you want a leisurely meander, many attractions and shops are open until 5-6 p.m., and restaurants will be open into early evening.
